Radisson Hotels Group doubled the number of hotels in Turkey in 5 years

The Radisson Hotels Group has set its sights on Anatolian states on the Asian side of the country, including Osmaniye, Hatay, Gaziantep, Kars and Van.

The world’s second largest hotel chain, has expanded its targets in Turkey as it seeks to double its investment in the country over the next five years.

The Radisson Hotels Group currently operates 27 hotels and four brands in Turkey and aims to increase the number of hotels in the country to 50.

The Radisson Group plans to increase the number of beds from 4,000 to 10,000 in Istanbul, Antalya, Konya, Mersin, Cappadocia, Osmaniye, Hatay, Gaziantep, Kars and Van.

The Radisson Hotels Group, one of the largest hotel groups in the world, has over 1,400 hotels in operation or under development.

“Turkey is for us one of the top ten countries in the world,” said Kima Bastricha, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Radisson Hotels Group.

He said the group believes in Turkey’s tourism potential and aims to reach 50 hotels by doubling their investment by 2025. He confirmed that they are operating 24 hotels under three brands in Turkey, namely “Radisson Blu”, “Park Inn by Radisson” and “Radisson Blu Residence” .

Noting that Radisson has three hotel projects in Bodrum, Bursa and Sakarya, Bastrica said hotels in Bodrum and Sakarya will open in 2020, while the hotel will operate in Bursa in 2021.

“This brings our number of hotels to 27. We will open our hotel in Bodrum with the luxury Radisson brand. Our Radisson Reed brand is very suited to the spirit of Istanbul. We plan to increase the number of brands operating in Turkey to five. ”
